Pigeons are birds that live everywhere in the world. They are in cities, towns, farms, and even cliffs or forests. They often nest on buildings or ledges. Pigeons mostly eat seeds and grains, but in cities they’ll also eat food from people. Most pigeons are about 12 to 15 inches long. Their feathers are usually gray with a bit of purple or green on their necks. Their eyes are often orange and they have small pink feet. Pigeons live 3 to 6 years in the wild as pets they live up to 15 years. They’re great at finding their way home even from far away.
